Virginia Roper

Miss Virginia Roper of Atlanta formerly of Gainesville passed away Monday October 4, 2010.

She was born in Gainesville , GA on March 26, 1911 and was the daughter of the late Sadie and W.A. Roper.

Miss Roper attended Brenau College and the University of Georgia . She was employed by the Georgia Power Company until 1973.

She is survived by a niece Virginia Whittington of Millville , PA , and great niece and husband Gray and Keith Maklary, Sumter , SC and great niece Amy Whittington, Atlanta , great-great niece Olivia Maklary.

Graveside Services are scheduled for 2:00pm Wednesday October 13 in the Alta Vista Cemetery .
