Nancy Virginia Ayers

Mrs. Nancy Virginia Ayers age 73, of Griffin, GA died Monday, October 11, 2010 at Piedmont Hospital. Mrs. Ayers was born in Banks County to the late, Charlie and Lois Griffin Merck and was also preceded in death by her brother, Marcus Merck. Mrs. Ayers was retired from Kroger.

Mrs. Ayers is survived by her daughter, Wanda Ayers of Griffin, GA, sons, Gregory Ayers of Lavonia, GA and Jeffery Ayers of Griffin, GA, brother, Charles Edwards Merck of Athens, GA, sisters, Willene Coker of Homer, GA, Mary Tench of Demorest, GA, and Annie Dixon of Clarkesville, GA, eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Wednesday 11:00 AM from Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Boomer officiating with the interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-8PM.
