SMSgt L. V. Lunsford

SMSgt L. V. Lunsford, age 82 of Gainesville, passed away Saturday, October 02, 2010, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born in Hall County on October 25, 1928, he was the son of the late Dola Bell Thomas Lunsford Cunningham. Mr. Lunsford was of the Holiness faith. He entered the United States Air Force following World War II, serving during the Korean Conflict, retiring with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He also enjoyed woodworking and bee keeping.
Surviving are cousin; A. R. Thomas of Alto.
Funeral services are 11:00 am Tuesday, October 05, 2010, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Lester Haynes and Rev. John Umberhant officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Congregational Holiness Church cemetery with full military honors provided by the United States Air Force. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Monday.
