Farris King

Farris King, age 66 of Homer, passed away Monday, September 27, 2010, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Born in Habersham County on October 14, 1943, he was the son of the late Cecil and Delia Coley King. Mr. King was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church where he was a former usher. He was employed with Ted Latty's Shaving Service and he enjoyed working and fishing. In addition to his parents, Mr.King was also preceded in death by a daughter, April Gail King; brother, Lake King.
Surviving are wife of 43 years, Linda Grace Cotton King of Homer; daughter, April Melinda King of Homer; sons, Clint Farris King, Cirby Fredrick King and Kyle Adam King all of Homer; sister, Birdie King of Alto; grandson Janathan Andrew Brent King.
Funeral services are 11:00 am Friday, October 01, 2010, at Rock Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Swayne Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until the service hour on Friday.
