Carolyn Elizabeth Jones Barron

Carolyn Elizabeth Jones Barron, age 80 of Demorest and formerly of the Habersham Mills Community, passed away Monday, September 27, 2010, at her residence following an extended illness.
Born in Habersham County on August 29, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Alec Mulligan "Mig" and Lyda Jane Durham Jones. She was a homemaker and member of Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church. She enjoyed yard work, talking on the phone and collecting Department 56. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl James Barron and brothers, Donald Jones and Ronald Jones.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Carol Sue & Thomas Shaw of Albuquerque, NM, Jane & Ken Ward of Demorest and Lynn & Rev. John Pate of Cordell, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Dewan & Deborah Ann Barron of Martin; son, Mick Barron of Suwanne; 15 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, Joseph Jones of Turner, MI.
Graveside services are 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 28, 2010, at Yonah Memorial Gardens with Lamar Mote officiating.
