Edna Louise Spear Wilbanks

Mrs. Edna Louise Spear Wilbanks, age 92, of Commerce, GA died Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Wilbanks Country Living Personal Care. Mrs. Wilbanks was born in Jackson County, GA to the late C.E. and Ruth Reynolds Spear, Sr. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Commerce and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilbanks was preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt Wilbanks and brother, J. Nolan Spear, Sr.

Mrs. Wilbanks is survived by her sons, Gene Wilbanks of Mims, FL, Lamar Wilbanks and Wayne Wilbanks both of Commerce, GA, and Dennis Wilbanks of Mims, FL; brother, C.E. Spear, Jr. of Spencer, NC; sister, Mable Ray of Marietta, GA; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and nine step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Dr. Carlton Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6-8PM. The family request to omit flowers donations may be made to The Gideons International, P.O. Box 225, Commerce, GA 30529.
