Martha Holbrook Kohler

Martha Holbrook Kohler passed away on September 24, 2010 after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Carl Kohler, her mother, Lula Jane Mashburn, her father, Thomas Clayton Holbrook, and her sister, Annie Laura Carson. Mrs. Kohler was born in Carnesville, GA, lived in Buffalo, NY for a short time after marrying her husband, and then moved to Decatur, GA, where she retired from Rich's. She was a dedicated member of North Decatur United Methodist Church for 44 years. She moved to Helen, GA in 2001 and to Demorest in 2009.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Jim Crysel, her grandchildren Brad and Amy Crysel, and her great grandchildren, Caitlin and Madison Crysel, and Greta Saxe.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2, 2010 at 11:00AM at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, 3000 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA 30084.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to North Decatur United Methodist Church, 1523 Church Street, Decatur, GA 30030, or to Compassionate Hospice Foundation, 1435 Haw Creek Circle, Suite 402, Cumming, GA 30041.
