Buck Jones

Buck Jones, 70, of Cumming, GA passed away Friday September 24, 2010. He was the son of Earl and Mildred Johnson, born May 1, 1940 in Weeksbury, KY.

Mr. Jones served two tours of duty in Vietnam and retired with 20 years of service in the United States Army. He served in Law Enforcement for 20 years with 8 years spent as Chief of Police in Cumming, GA. He was a Christian and active member of Concord Baptist Church and Etowah Lodge #222 F&AM in Dawsonville, GA.

He is survived by his wife; Treva Neal Jones of Cumming, GA; son, Steven (Cecila) Jones of Cumming, GA; son, Billy (Claire) Herring Mishawaka, IN; daughter, Kathi (James) Mathews of Lexington, GA; daughter, Terri (Frank) Goss of Dahlonega, GA; daughter, Sandra Furcron of Lexington, GA; brother, Marvin (Sandra) Jones of Florida; sister, Jean (Bobby) Johnson of Weeksbury, KY; sister, Anna Ruth (Garland) Thornsbury of Weeksbury, KY, and 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday September 26, 2010 at Concord Baptist Church, with visitation from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at the church. Dr. Lester Cooper will officiate.
