Robert Clinton Baugh

Robert Clinton Baugh, age 65, of Alto, Georgia passed away Monday, September 20, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Robert was born in Lula, Georgia on November 17, 1944, to the late Julian Baugh and Birdie Lou (Free) Baugh. Robert was saved and baptized August 10, 1958 at White Hall Baptist Church. He was a 1963 graduate of East Hall High School and was retired from General Motors Assembly Plant in Doraville.
Robert was predeceased by his wife, Peggy Roquemore Baugh, son-in-law, Timothy Childers, sisters, Dessie Lou (Tommy) Teague and Eva Orene O' Kelley, niece, Shirley O' Kelley Fields, and brother-in-law, Bob Teague.
Survivors are his daughter, Kendra Baugh Childers of Gainesville, former wife and mother of his daughter, Gail Dyer Baugh of Gainesville, brother and sister-in-law, Junior and Carolyn Baugh of Lula, brother-in-law, Clyde O' Kelley of Gainesville, nephews, Chuck Baugh of Lula, Larry Baugh of Maysville, Wayne Teague of Lula, and Pete O' Kelley of Clermont, special cousins, Jimmie Ruth and Alonzo Wade of Alto, and his dog and faithful companion, Kayce.
Robert was a Georgia Bulldog and Nascar fan. He loved taking his daughter, Kendra out to eat and just spending time with her.
Robert always loved music and was a member of the Bluegrass Gospel Group-Born Twice, where he played the mandolin. He loved the members of the group and cherished the friendships he had with them. These special friends are, Hoyt Hester, Dean Manders, and wife, Joan all of Cleveland, Arthur Cook and wife, Laverne of Mt. Airy, and Shannon Ross of Dawsonville. The family appreciates so much of your prayers, love, caring and concern during this most difficult time.
We would like to thank our Pastor, Reverend Jon Beck of New Holland Baptist Church for visiting and counseling with us at the hospital and for you comforting scriptures and prayers and for your support when we needed it most.
Thanks to the wonderful, caring doctors and staff in the Critical Care Unit of the Northeast Georgia Medical Center, and to the emergency room staff.
Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 1:00 pm with interment to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Jon Beck will officiate. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm and 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
