Sarah Wallace

Sarah Wallace, age 88, of Flowery Branch, Georgia, passed away Monday, September 20, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, September 24, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery. Reverend Melvin Baugh will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wallace was born on March 29, 1922 to the late Frank and Ida Elrod in Gainesville. She was a member of Hopewell Methodist Church. Mrs. Wallace is preceded in death by her husband, John Wallace, son, James Wallace, and a number of siblings.

Mrs. Wallace is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dwight and Janice Wallace of Brick, NJ, son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Linda Wallace of Flowery Branch, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, sister, Ethel Wallace of New Holland.

Flowers will be accepted, but those who wish may make contributions to Hospice of Northeast Georgia, 743 Spring Street, Gainesville, GA 30501.
