Raymond Donald Reed

Raymond Donald Reed, age 63, of Gainesville, GA, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Blackshear Place Baptist Church with interment to follow in the Oakwood City Cemetery. Mr. Reed will lie in state from 1:30 to 2:00 prior to the funeral. Reverend James Mills and Sunday School Teacher and friend Doug Bonds will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, September 17, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home South.

Mr. Reed was born on December 15, 1946 to the late Glenn J. and Lillie Glass Reed in Colorado Springs, CO . He was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church and The Christian Motorcycle Association.

Mr. Reed is survived by his loving wife of over 46 years, Wyolene Pirkle Reed of Gainesville, Sons and daughter-in-laws, Donald and Michelle Reed of Cleveland, GA, Larry and Amy Reed of Arlington, TN, daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Dr. Tony Watson of Suwanee, GA, grandchildren, Forrest, Lilly, Jeramiah, Ashley, Alyssa, Alexa, and Joshua, brother and sister-in-law, Glenn C. and Carolyn Reed of Lula, GA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blackshear Place Baptist Church, 3428 Atlanta Highway Flowery Branch , GA 30542 , or to your favorite charity.
