Dwight Standridge

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. William Dwight Standridge, age 54 of Jefferson, Georgia who died Thursday, September 16, 2010. Mr. Standridge was born in Commerce, Georgia, the son of the late Harold Standridge and Ruby Worley Standridge of Jefferson. Mr. Standridge was a self employed carpenter and a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church. Along with his father, Mr. Standridge is preceded in death by father in law Branson Dowdy.

Survivors include wife, Wanda Norton Standridge of Jefferson, Son, Matthew Standridge of Jefferson, Daughter, Melissa (Jon) Henry of Jefferson. Two grandchildren, Kayla and Zachery Henry of Jefferson. Brother, Deryl Standridge of Hartwell, Sister in laws, Gail Standridge of Commerce and Mandy McElroy of Jefferson. Mother and father in law, Elaine and Harry Norton of Seneca, South Carolina, mother in law, Sandra Dowdy of Jefferson and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 19, 2010 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Mike McLemore officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, 1-2 P.M. and after the service.
