Billy Joe Wilson, age 75 of Gainesville, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Memorial services are scheduled for Friday, September 17, 2010 at 1:00 pm at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Dahlonega, Georgia with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Heyward Clark and Reverend Dean Bryant will officiate. The family will receive friends after the service on Friday, September 17, 2010 at his residence, 5121 Elrod Road, Gainesville, GA 30506.
Mr. Wilson was born July 4, 1935 in Bethlehem, Georgia to the late Troy Cecil Wilson and Maude Lee Smith Wilson. He worked 28 years at Gainesville Mill, then later retired from Deep South with 18 years of service.
Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Stanley Dean Wilson, brother, James Wilson and his first wife, Marie Grizzle Wilson.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Juanita Loden Wilson of Gainesville, daughter, Joyce Ann Wilson Gore of Gainesville, step-sons, Andrew Jackson Loden of Ballground and Christopher Loden of Gainesville, step-daughter, Trina Tessereua of Cumming, grandson, Joshua Andrew Gore of Gainesville, 4 step-grandchildren, 1 step-great-grandchild, brothers & sisters-in-laws, Cecil & Helen Wilson and Bobby & Hilda Wilson, all of Winder, sister-in-law, Linda Wilson of Winder, special friends, Steve, Carol & Blake Hulsey.
