Marcus Walls

Marcus Walls, 63, of Dawsonville died Tuesday September 7, 2010 at his residence following a period of declining health.

Born April 5, 1947 in Cumming, Georgia to the late Guy and Myrtle Walls, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 15 years. Mr. Walls was a retired sewing machine mechanic and was also preceded in death by a sister, Willene Brooks.

Surviving are his wife, Wanda Walls, Dawsonville; children, Rhonda and Matt Howard, Cumming, Cory and Liz Walls, Dawsonville, Anna and Kyle Headrick, Dawsonville; special niece, Dakota Mathews, Dawsonville; sisters, Lillian Brooks, Cumming, Oretta Trammell, Cumming, Dorothy Collins, Cumming, Voncile Smith, Cumming; brother, Sherrell Walls, Cumming; grandchildren, Zachary Howard, Seth Howard, Chase Walls, Emma Walls, Ryan Headrick; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Friday September 10, 2010 at 3 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gary Keowan will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Wednesday and all day Thursday at the funeral home.
