Ronnie Smith

Mr. Ronnie Smith, age 56, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, September 07, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, September 11, 2010 in the Chapel of Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel. Dr. Robby Foster will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service.

Mr. Smith was born in Tampa, Florida and was the son of the late, Wilson Smith and Pearlie (Johnson) Smith. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Mima (McManus) Smith, Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Racheal and Billy Carter, Gainesville; brothers, James Lewis, Lake Placid, FL; Dan Smith, Lakeland, FL; Jack Smith, Gainesville, GA; and David Smith, Lakeland, FL; sisters, Barbara Edgemon, Lake Placid, FL; and Rhonda Whitehead, Lakeland, FL and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Hopewell Baptist Church Building Fund 5086 Poplar Springs Road Gainesville, GA 30507.
