Hoyt Cecil McGinnis

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Hoyt Cecil McGinnis, age 80, of Jefferson, who passed away on September 5, 2010. Mr. McGinnis was born on March 10, 1930 in Gainesville, GA, a son to the late Luther and Emma Kelly McGinnis. Mr. McGinnis was a Master Painter and was a member of the Victory Baptist Church.

Survivors include wife, Frances Hall McGinnis, Jefferson, daughters, Barbara Cox and Wanda Jean Jones both of Jefferson, son, Douglas McGinnis, Flowery Branch, sister, Wynell Williamson, Lula; 6 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 3pm in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Swayne Cochran officiating. The burial will follow in the White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. Honored as pallbearers are, John Cox, Zak Hix, Wayne Jones, Anthony Conner, Andy Tatum and Matthew Watkins. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, 2-4 and 6-8pm at the funeral home.
