Raymond Neal Pollitt Jr.

Funeral services for Raymond Neal Pollitt, Jr., age 66, of Clarkesville will be held on Friday, September 3, 2010, at 11:00 AM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Paris Whitworth will officiate with burial to follow the service in Chapel of the Holy Cross Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 2, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mr. Pollitt passed away Monday, August 30, 2010 at his residence.

Born on April 3, 1944 in Macon, Georgia, Mr. Pollitt was the son of the late Raymond N. and Josephine Elizabeth "Betty" Davis Pollitt, Sr. He was a United States Air Force Veteran having served in Vietnam and Mr. Pollitt was a member of Grace Calvary Episcopal Church. Mr. Pollitt was a self employed farmer with Gilcrest Farms.

Survivors include his wife Lisa Bucar Pollitt of Duluth, daughter and son in law Josephine and Jerome Brinkley of Duluth, son and daughter in law Raymond Neal Pollitt, III and wife Leigh of Clarkesville, brother and sister in law Gilbert and Hope Pollitt of Lake Burton, and grandchildren Madison, Dylan, Jordyn, Elizabeth, and Alec.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to United Hospice, 700 South Enota Drive, Suite 202, Gainesville, GA 30501.
