Daniel Matthews

Mr. Daniel Matthews, age 61, of Hull, GA died Friday August 27, 2010 at Athens Regional Medical Center. Mr. Matthews was born in Marietta, GA to Claudia Eubanks Matthews of Commerce, GA and the late Buck Matthews. Mr. Matthews was retired from Jackson EMC and employed at City Tire in Commerce. Mr. Matthews was a US Army Veteran where he served two tours in Vietnam and eight years in the Army.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Matthews is survived by his wife; Donna M. Matthews of Hull, GA, daughter; Lyndsey Matthews of Hartwell, GA; brothers and sisters-in law; Buckie and Sharon Matthews of Eatonton, GA, and Tommy and Jane Matthews of Winder, GA, brother; Michael Matthews of Commerce, GA, and the "only" sister; Lucille Wilson of Commerce, GA, and several nieces and nephews. Daniel was blessed to have several close friends.
The Memorial service will be Sunday 3:00 PM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Shannon Hayes officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1-3 PM.
