Edmond "Cuckle" Dodd

Edmond "Cuckle" Dodd, age 67 of Maysville, passed away Friday, August 27, 2010, at BJC Medical Center.
Born in Habersham County on October 21, 1942, he was the son of the late Vasco and Hazel Smith Dodd. Mr. Dodd was a self employed construction worker. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict and he was of the Pentecostal Faith. He was an avid member of the National Rife Association, enjoyed deep-sea fishing and antique cars. In addition to his parents Mr. Dodd was preceded in death by his brother, Edison "Bud" Dodd.
Surviving are daughter, Sharon K. Dodd of Cascade, VA; sons and daughters-in-law, Walter Alan & Ginger Dodd of Alto and Scott Harold & Julie Stewart of Gainesville; sons, Derek Dodd of Alto and Antonio Demetrie of Brooklyn, NY; former wife, MaryAnn Stewart Worley of Danville, VA; brother, Edward N. Dodd of Phrumph, NV; 14 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; special relatives, Steve & Lisa Turner of Cornelia; god daughters, Kimberly Ann Aldridge and Rose Chambers both of Maysville.
Memorial services are 4:00 pm Sunday, August 29, 2010, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Mrs. Lisa Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Alto Congregational Holiness Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until the service hour. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, GA Chapter, 2452 Spring Rd, Smyrna, GA 30080.
