Willard Greenberry Croft

Mr. Willard Greenberry Croft, 87 of Gainesville died Friday August 27, 2010 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Croft had lived in Gainesville since 1978. He was the son of the late Oscar William and Cora Thomas Croft. Mr. Croft served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was retired from ARA Services in Atlanta where he worked as a route supervisior, he also worked in the automobile industry in Atlanta for a number of years. After retirement, Mr. Croft worked for a number of years for Duplicating Products in Gainesville.
Survivors include his daughter, Marquita Nix Moore, Gainesville; grandchildren; Blake Nix, Matt Nix, Amber Carter, Amy Pope, all of Gainesville; great grandchildren, Cree and Witt Nix, Thomas, Matthew and Sam Carter, Andrew and Caroline Pope, all of Gainesville; sisters, Betty and Sarah; brother, Doyle.
Mr. Croft is preceded in death by his first wife, Billie Thomas Croft and second wife, Edith Maude Benson Croft.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday August 29, 2010 in the Alta Vista Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Bill Coates will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Ministry of Caring at the First Baptist Church, 751 Green Street, Gainesville, Ga. 30501.
