Carlos Roscoe Posten

Mr. Carlos Roscoe Posten, age 60, of Dahlonega, GA died August 23, 2010.

Mr. Posten was a native of Lumpkin County, GA and had lived in Lumpkin County most of his life. He was a house painter and was of the Baptist faith.

He was the son of the late Roscoe and Clara Ingram Posten and was also preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Ann Davidson Posten; brothers, Tommy Posten, Jackie Posten, and Johnny Posten; sisters, Jean Garner and Martha Jo Posten.

Carlos is survived by his son, Tyler Ray Posten, Dahlonega, GA; brother, Harold Posten, Cleveland, GA; sisters, Linda Abernathy, Cornelia, GA and Bobbie Lee, Dahlonega, GA. A number of other relatives also survive.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1 PM Wednesday August 25, 2010 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega. Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 PM until 6 PM.
