Joseph Perkins

Mr. Joseph Perkins, born June 13, 1932 in Macon, GA to Arthur DeWitt Perkins and Estell Arrington passed away August 24, 2010. He was a devoted Christian, enjoyed golf, boating, camping and spending time with his family. He served in the US Army as a Sergeant during the Korean War, attended Georgia Institute of Technology and was a sales executive in the packaging industry, retiring with Federal Paperboard in 1997.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Lou Perkins of Cumming; his only child, John Bradley Perkins; grandchildren, John Tyler Perkins and Megan Elisabeth Perkins; his only brother, Jimmie DeWitt Perkins; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Parkway Presbyterian Church at 5830 Bethelview Road, Cumming, GA 30040 with Rev. Bill Ford officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Joe Perkins memorial fund at Parkway Presbyterian Church, 5830 Bethelview Road, Cumming, GA 30040.
