Ruth Nix

Ruth Nix, age 74, of Gainesville, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August, 21, 2010 at 12:30 pm in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Levi Nix will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday, August 20, 2010 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nix was born on December 12, 1935 to the late Clyde and Nellie Colbert in Gainesville. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church.Mrs. Nix is survived by her husband, Rudez Nix of Gainesville, son, Bill Nix of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Denise Nix of Cleveland, granddaughter, Nikki Nix of Gainesville, granddaughter, Jessica Satterfield of Gainesville, grandson, Levi Nix of Alto, great granddaughter, Hannah Nix of Gainesville, sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Richard Skinner of Gainesville, sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Charles Coffee of Gainesville, sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Robert Hulsey of Clermont.
