Guy (Bob) Cocciole

Guy (Bob) Cocciole (80) of Cumming, GA, entered into rest on Aug. 17, 2010. He was born March 23, 1930 to the late Louis and Mamie Cocciole. He was a resident of Syracuse, NY, and in 2008 moved to Georgia. Guy is survived by his wife, the former Luzie Zahn; 3 daughters: Barbara Peet of Boca Raton FL, Theresa Anderson of Delray Beach, FL, and Mary (Steve) Maurillo of Cumming, GA, along with 2 grandsons, Nicolas, and Jack Maurillo. He is also survived by his sisters; Tillie Chiarmonte and Terry (Harry) Colella, and brother; Ron (Kathy) Cocciole, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Guy (Bob) attended North High ('47) in Syracuse. He entered into the Army where he was stationed in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. It was there he met his wife of 55 years. He was a mail carrier for 28 years, retired in 1990 where he was well loved by all those on his "Mail Route." Guy will always be remembered for his genuine love of people, with the gift of gab, and a keen sense of humor. Guy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother. He will be deeply missed, by all.

A memorial service will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery Sept. 2, 2010 at 10:30 am. There will be a memorial service held in Syracuse, NY at a later date.

He had a genuine love for all animals, and was an avid donor, and volunteer at the SPCA. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Guy (Bob) Cocciole's name to Central New York SPCA, 5878 E. Molloy Rd. Syracuse, NY 13211, or to Embracing Hospice, 8013 Majors Rd., Cumming, GA 30041.
