John Patrick Mooney

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. John Patrick Mooney, age 68, of Pendergrass, who passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2010. Mr. Mooney, born May 25, 1942 in Gainesville, Georgia, was a son of the late, John Newton Mooney and the late, Jessie Sims Mooney. He worked as a foreman in a machine shop and was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church in Gainesville.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Ronald Bryant of Gainesville. Son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Dawn Mooney of Pendergrass. Sister and brother-in-law, Carole and David Bishop of Dawsonville. Grandchildren: Josh Bryant, Brandon Baker, Brianna Baker, Kyle Mooney, Katlyn Mooney, Dustin Rowland, Austin Rowland; and eight nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 5:30 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Jenkins officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday afternoon from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
