Cleon Kimsey "Bud" Vernon

Mr. Cleon Kimsey "Bud" Vernon, age 92, of Brooks, GA, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2010. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church since 1934. Mr. Vernon was preceded in death by his brothers, Clifton Vernon and Lynn Vernon; sister, Irene Brannon Anderson.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Barbara Vernon of Brooks, GA and David and Lorrie Vernon of Canton, GA; brother, Ivan Vernon of Chattanooga, TN; sister, Dot Rendelman of Salisbury, NC; sister and brother-in-law, Melba and Marcus Castleberry of Alpharetta; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Joe and Phyllis Vernon of Cleveland, GA; sister-in-law, Lorine Vernon of Lithia Springs, GA; grandchildren, Lane and Mark Vernon of Newnan,GA, Renee, Derek & Tyler Vernon of Canton, GA; great granddaughter, Kylie Vernon of Newnan, GA; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at 2:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Joe Vernon officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, August 16th from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday, August 17th from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
