Robert Lee Austin, Sr.

Mr. Robert Lee Austin, Sr. age 73, of Commerce, GA died Friday August 13, 2010 at Winder Health Care.

Mr. Austin was born in Danielsville, GA to the late Wiley A. and Mary Scoggins Austin. Mr. Austin was a retired electrician and a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Austin was preceded in death by his wife Frances Veal Austin.

Mr. Austin is survived by his son Robert Lee Austin, Jr. of Commerce, GA; step-son David Garrett of Commerce, GA; step-daughter Debbie Berryman of Braselton, GA; brothers William Austin of Maysville, GA, and Melvin Austin of Easley, SC; sisters Minnie Turner of Newry, SC and Susie Cobb of Wahalla, SC.

Funeral service will be Monday 2:00 PM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Rev. Carlton Peters officiating with the interment following in Rogers Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday night from 6-8 PM.
