Grace S. Dorsey

Ivie Funeral Home announces the death of Grace S. Dorsey, age 97, of Commerce who died Thursday, August 12, 2010 at BJC Medical Center. Survivors include a daughter and son in law, Sybil and L.B. Kitchens of Commerce, a daughter and son in law, Brenda and Summie Smith of Jefferson and a son and daughter in law, Curtis and Vivian Dorsey of Nicholson. A special niece, Geneva McCarthy also survives along with 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Sunday, August 15, 2010 at 3PM from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home with the Rev. David Strickland officiating. Burial will be in the Blacks Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6 to 9 PM.
