Mildred Greene Estes

Mildred Greene Estes, 85, of Cumming, GA died on August 11, 2010 at Landmark Hospital in Athens. Born in Atlanta, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Katherine Greene. Her beloved husband, Thomas Dorsey Estes also predeceased her.

A graduate of West Fulton High School, Mildred retired from Georgia Power and was a member of the Georgia Power Ambassadors. A long-time member of First Baptist Church of Cumming, she was a member of the Welcome Sunday School Class.

Mildred is survived by her daughter, Linda (George) Haynes of Alpharetta, GA; sons, Thom (Betty) Estes of Powhatan, VA and Phil (Rena) Estes of Sandy Hook, CT; grandchildren, Alan Estes, Heather Kritsberg, Justin Haynes, Griffin Estes and Eliza Estes; and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 15, 2010 in the McDonald and Son Chapel. Dr. Jim Dwiggins and Dr. Bob Jolly will officiate. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 14 from 6:00
