Donald John "Don" Stuart

Donald John "Don" Stuart, age 75, of Cumming, Georgia beloved husband of Adrienne, nee Prusinski for 55 years; loving father of eight: Lynnette Basinger Ferwerda (Derek), Eileen Grace (Claussen-Charnota), Brian (Diane Lietz), Robert (DeeAnn Swartz), Scott (Jane Walsh), Karen (Henri) Carr, Denise (Bob) Lampen, Beth (Jim) Denenny. Proud Grandfather of twenty-two; dear uncle and friend to many. Don was born August 30, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois. After growing up in both Chicago and the countryside of Ireland, Don established a foundation for his family in Park Ridge, IL. After a move to Roswell, Georgia he and Adrienne settled in Cumming, Georgia. Don and Adrienne cherished their travels with friends and family. He was a genius and inventive engineer, an avid gunman, gifted woodworker and loving mentor. Don, along with Adrienne built a life of faith and friendships through the church; both at Mary Seat of Wisdom in Park Ridge, and The Church of the Good Shepherd in Cumming. He returned home to the Lord on Monday, August 9th surrounded by his loved ones. His is a passing of a great man, a loving husband, a wise father and grandfather, and most of all the gentlest of spirits. His legacy lives on in his family "the great eight" and his memory will forever be engraved on the hearts of those he touched. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 12th 6-9pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, Georgia. Funeral Service will be Friday, August 13th at 11am at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 3740 Holtzclaw Road, Cumming, Georgia. Donations can be made in his honor to The Church of the Good Shepherd Parish Life Center of Cumming; Embracing Hospice of Cumming; Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, Barrington, IL; or Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network.
