Eva Malydia Collins, 87, of Dorsey Peek Rd Gainesville passed away August 6, 2010 following a sudden illness.
Funeral services will be held Sunday August 8, 2010 at 3:00pm from the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Clack Stubbs, Rev. Brian Malcom, and Rev. Roger Elliot officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday August 7, 2010 from 6pm-9pm and Sunday August 8, 2010 from 2pm-3pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Collins was born Nov. 18, 1922 to the late Pink and Pairlee Voyles Williams. She was retired from Leece Neville as a small motor assembler. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and a member of the Opals Sunday School Class. She also taught Sunday School at Oak Grove Church. Mrs Collins is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Edward Collins, grandson Scott Collins, sister Ora Honea, brother Amos Williams, and daughter-in-law Jane Clarke-Collins.
She is survived by her daughter Joyce Collins-Mayo of Conyers, daughter and son-in-law Doris Collins Peters and Dan Peters of Fairburn, daughter and son-in-law Glinda Collins Hayes and Kelly Hayes of Helen, son and daughter-in-law Thomas and Brenda Collins of Gainesville, son Ray Collins of Fairburn, son and daughter-in-law Curtis and Pat Collins of Clermont, son and daughter-in-law Larry and Carolyn Collins of Gainesville, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister Elda Davis of Dahlonega and sister-in-law Bernice Williams of Dahlonega.
