Mrs. Sallie Ann Wise Glasper

Mrs. Sallie Ann Wise Glasper was born April 16, 1947 in Banks County, GA. to the late Lonnie Wise and Ida Wise, Atlanta, Georgia. She departed this life on Thursday, August 5, 2010, at her residence. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and became a member of the Black Springs Baptist Church, Commerce, Georgia. With the death of her grandfather, Charlie Pierce, Sr. the family moved to Gainesville, GA where she attended and graduated from Fair Street Elementary School and E.E. Butler High School. She was employed by Gayborne and Coronet Carpet, now Beaulieu of America. She worked as a Machinist and Lab Technician for twenty five years. She retired early due to health reasons. She loved and was loved by her friends and co-workers. She was a member of the New Life Missionary Baptist Church, where she served faithfully for over 30 years as the Church Financial Secretary; Secretary and Treasurer of the Sunday School; President of the Pastor's Aide, Junior Usher Board's Advisor; Youth Directress; Chairwoman of the Program, Advertising and Decorating Committees; and wherever her services were needed. She also worked with the Youth Auxiliary of the Greater Northwestern Baptist Association. She was one of the original thirteen members of the New Life Missionary Baptist Church. She loved her church and her church family.
She was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Christopher, Jada, and Sania Wise. She was married to Thomas Glasper, Flowery Branch, GA. for 30 years and leaves many treasured memories to her loving, caring and devoted husband. Her four wonderful sons and daughter in laws: Mr. Maurice (Debra) Wise, Lawrenceville, GA.; Mr. Kenneth (Nikki) Wise and Mr. Raphael(Shannon) Wise, Gainesville, GA.; Mr. Kevin (Laura) Bailey, Lula, GA. Two granddaughters, Paisley Wise, Lawrenceville, GA. and Dahneaya Gregory, Gainesville, GA. Eight grandsons: Kenneth Wise, Jr., Xavier Wise, Darian Wise, Brandon Gladmon, Brandon Bailey, Darnell Gregory all of Gainesville, GA,; Korentheus Bailey and Sterling Bailey, Lula, GA. God daughter: Mrs. Andreka Thompson, God granddaughter, Jaida Thompson, Lawrenceville, GA. A wonderful, loving, and devoted mother, Mrs. Ida Wide, Atlanta, GA. Aunts: Ms. Malbe Pierce, Mrs. Ruby Brawner, Ms. Lula B. Pierce. Special aunts: Mrs. Betty Chester and Mrs. Frances Wiley. Special aunt and working friend, Mrs. Odessa Richie all of Gianesville, GA. Dear friend and cousin, Mrs. Peggy Johnson, Gainesville, GA. Special cousins: Mrs. Diane Maddox and Miss Mary Williams, Gainesville, GA. and Miss Labrenza Law, Commerce, GA. Special Cousins raised in the home, Mr. George Hardnett, Atlnata, GA., Mr. Ronald Pierce, Gainesville, Ga., Mrs. Gloria McCluskey, Jefferson, GA, and Mrs. Latrell Robinson, Richton Park, Il., Special friends: Miss Joan Ware, Jacksonville, FL. Adoptive sister and best friend, Mrs. Sylvia Milner, Gainesville, GA. Special niece: Kim Rowe, Flowery Branch, GA. Special nephews: Mr. Marlin Milner, Warner Robins, GA. and Mr. Martrez Milner, Lawrenceville, GA. In-laws: Miss Dorothy Glasper, Mr. Lugene Glasper, Mrs. Betty (Terry) Rowe, Mrs. Ada (Cecil) Stringer, Mrs. Mary Young, Mr. Kenneth (Joycelyn) Glasper all of Flowery Branch, GA. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her New Life Church family.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August, 7, 2010 1:30 pm at New Life Missionary Church, Gainesville, GA., with interment to follow in Black Springs Baptist Cemetery Church Cemetery, Commerce, GA. Mrs. Glasper will lie in state prior to the funeral from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at the church. Reverend L.C. Teasley and Reverend Billy Adams will officiate.
