Maudine Woody

Maudine Woody, 90, of Murrayville, passed away Tuesday morning, August 3, 2010 after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday August 5, 2010 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Pastors Ricky Stone and Joseph Dover will officiate. Burial will follow in the Etowah Baptist Church cemetery, in Auraria, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.



Maudine was a homemaker and a farmer. She worked for a time in the lunchroom at Lanier Elementary School.



She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Woody, her parents, Ernest and Louella Whelchel; sister, Irene Green; and brother, Ford Whelchel.



She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Gene Boswell, Sr. of Murrayville and grandson, Gene Boswell, Jr.; grandson and wife, John and Shelia Jenkins of Gainesville and great grandson, Josh Jenkins, great granddaughter Sharon Ellis and her husband, Will; daughter, Margaret Jenkins of Murrayville, grandson Tony Jenkins and granddaughter, Susan Gowan; nieces, Nancy Dill and husband, Edwin; and Jean Lint and husband, James; nephew Ronnie Green and wife, Judy. She is also survived by her extended Boswell family who claim her as one of their own, Mildred Boswell, Mike and Annette Boswell, Tanna and Tom Lee, Carla and Warren Cain, and Terry and Kim Boswell and other family and friends.
