Thelma Dlean Ledford Hardy

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Thelma Dlean Ledford Hardy, age 88, of Jefferson, who passed away on Monday, August 2, 2010. Mrs. Hardy, born October 25, 1921 in Cleveland, Georgia, was a daughter of the late, Henry Clayton Ledford and the late, Mary Elizabeth Crumley Ledford. She was a homemaker and a member of Victory Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Albert Leonard Hardy of Jefferson. Daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and John Davis of Smyrna; Sandra and Tom Venable of Jefferson; Vickie and David Flood of Buford. Son, Al Hardy of Jefferson. Sister-in-law, Fannie Ledford of Brooklyn, NY. Grandchildren: Jill Abernathy (Brad), Scott Davis, Kerri Davis, Erika Green, Jaymie Flood, Stephanie Miller (Danny); and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Swayne Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Park, Commerce. Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Ledford, John Veal, Bob Veal, Clifford Ledford, Rick Ledford, and Allen Banks.

Flowers are optional and memorials may be made to the Ebenezer Methodist Church, 1368 Ebenezer Church Road Jefferson, Georgia 30549.
