Bobby Williams

Bobby Williams, age 78, of Lynncliff Drive, Gainesville, GA, passed away Friday July 30, 2010 at his residence following an brief illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Ken Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 1, 2010 6:00 to 9:00 pm, and Monday, August 2, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Williams was born on September 28, 1931 to the late Allen and Grace Williams in Gainesville. Bobby was a graduate of Airline School in 1951. Mr. Williams served in the Korean War for the United States Navy and worked for General Motors for 17 years. He attended Canaan Baptist Church. Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Laura Dean Williams, sister, Annie Ruth Phear, brothers Noah W. Williams, Allen Williams, Jr., and Billy Williams.

Mr. Williams is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Tim Voyles, son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Lori Williams, grandchildren, Erin Blair Williams, Emily Nevada Williams, Bobby Evan Williams, great-grandchildren, Karlyn Olivia, Makinley Grace, Jennifer Marie all of Gainesville, brother Harry Williams of Gainesville, and sister Carolyn Peters of Wagener, SC.



The family would like to thank Northeast Georgia Hospice for all the love and support given during Mr. William's illness.
