Omazell Armour Parson

Obituary Date: Friday, July 30, 2010
Omazell Armour Parson, age 74 of Alto, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Born in Hall County on September 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Jiles Hancock and Bonnie Brown Armour. Mrs. Parson was formerly a seamtress who in her spare time enjoyed cooking, flowers, crafts and enjoyed spending time with people especially children. She was a member of The Torch Church Worship Center.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Parson was preceded in death by sons, Stanley Parson and Wesley Parson; brothers, Ricky Armour, Glenn Armour, Troy Armour, Larry Armour and Luke Armour; grandchildren, Dasha Parson and Steve Troy Parson.

Surviving are husband of 55 years, Hoyt Parson of Alto; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley & Charlie Akers of Alto; daughter, Linda Hopper of Alto; son and daughter-in-law, Steve & Karen Parson of Alto; son, J. B. Parson of Alto; sisters, Ruby Simmons of the Hollingsworth Community and Janice Armour of Cornelia; brothers, N. C. Armour of Gainesville, Jimmy Armour of Demorest, Cecil Armour of Homer and Earl Armour of Alto; grandchildren, Chuck Akers, Doug Akers, Larry Hopper, Joseph Hopper, Leah Williams, Amy Parson, Cody Parson, Jeremy Parson, Chasten Parson; 10 great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services are 2:00 pm Sunday, August 01, 2010, at The Torch Church Worship Center with Pastor Mike Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in Baldwin City Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Willis officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Saturday. The family is at the residence of her daughter, Shirley Akers, 515 Oak Creek Lane, Alto, Ga. 30510.
