Mary Elizabeth Pierce

Mary Elizabeth Pierce, age 97 of Braselton, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010. She lived in Braselton 20 plus years from Atlanta where she was a long time florist. Mrs. Pierce loved gardening and flowers. She was a true caregiver for her family and was a member of Chestnut Mountain Church.

Mrs. Pierce is preceded in death by her husband, William E. Pierce. Her survivors include her daughters Beverly "Jackie" Davis, husband Spencer of Chestnut Mountain; Rebecca Lathan, husband Mack of Sugar Grove, NC; Sister Betty Burton, husband Carl of Atlanta, GA; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Lawson Funeral Home, 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 2, 2010 with Pastor Jeff Benefield officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home. Internment will be at Chestnut Mountain Church Cemetery.
