Joan Holcomb

Mrs. Joan Holcomb, age 57, of Flowery Branch, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Flowery Branch United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Pastor Jeff Ingram will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm (noon) to 2:00 pm at the Church.
Joan received her Bachelor of Science Degree at Trenton State College in New Jersey and completed the Master's Program at University of Tennessee. Joan worked in the Transplant Department of Emory Hospital. She was an accomplished Sailor and Past Commodore of Lake Lanier Sailing Club and Barefoot Sailing Club. She shared a love for her Lord and served as organist of Flowery Branch United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Holcomb is survived by her husband, E. Dean Holcomb, Flowery Branch, GA ; and sister-in-law, Connie Sears also of Flowery Branch.
