Mary Elizabeth Sims

Mary Elizabeth Sims, 71,of Commerce passed away Saturday July 10, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held Monday July 12, 2010 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home North Riverside Chapel, with the Rev. Michael Helton officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday July 11, 2010 from 6pm-9pm at the funeral home. Ms. Sims was born September 26, 1938 to the late J.T. and Lois Streetman Brock. She was retired from Tunnco Mfg. and of the Baptist faith. Ms. Sims was a native of Barrow County but lived most her life in Banks and Hall Counties. She was preceded in death by brother Kenneth Brock.

She is survived by her daughter Paula Couch of Commerce, son Wade Sims of Commerce, 4 granddaughters April Couch and Danielle Couch both of Commerce, Brittney Sims and Christian Sims both of Talmo, brother Larry Brock of Oakwood, brother Ronnie Brock of Hoschton, sister Connie Phillips of Flowery Branch.
