William Martin

Mr. William Martin, age 56, of Dahlonega, GA, died Monday July 5, 2010 at his residence.

William was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. He was employed at the Koyo Bearings Plant in Dahlonega for over 30 years and worked with Lumpkin County Emergency Services for more than 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Martin, and an infant sister, Vicky Gail Martin.

William is survived by his wife, Sharon Martin, Dahlonega, GA; children and spouses, Amy and Dustin Blackstone, Dahlonega, Ali Martin, Dahlonega, Jessica and Greg Robinson, Dahlonega, Courtney and Miller Ball, Dahlonega, GA, Sarah Nicole Martin, Dahlonega; grandchildren, Alexis Martin, Addison Blackstone, Natalie Robinson, Taylor Robinson, Katie Robinson, Lily Ball, and Ella Ball; father, Harold Martin, Dahlonega, brothers and sister-in-law, Ricky and Cindy Martin, Dawsonville, GA, Mike Martin, Dahlonega. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday July 7, 2010 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

Rev. Jack Pilcher, Rev. Danny Jarrard, and Rev. Ronnie Dockery will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12 Noon until 9 PM and again on Wednesday from 9 AM until 12 Noon.
