Ruth Coley Shore, age 89 of Alto, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born in Habersham County on June 20, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Oler Cook Coley.
Mrs. was retired as a seamstress from Yonah Packaging. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and the Georgia Red Hat Society. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by husband, Charlie Shore; son, Floyd Shore; sister, Hazel Jones; brother, Haskell Coley; and grandson, Alvin Farmer.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Marie & Charlie Neel of Buford; daughter-in-law, Florine Shore of Alto; brothers, Corbin Coley and Albert Coley both of Alto; grandchildren and their spouses, Kevin & Jill Farmer of Buford, Michael & Carol Shore of Cleveland and Anthony & Penny Shore of Cornelia; great grandchildren, Lacey Shore, Shelby Shore and Cody Shore; also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 11:00 am Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Pete Martin and Bro. Anthony Shore officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-9 pm on Monday.
