Gregory Lewis Fowler

Memorial Park announces the death of Mr. Gregory Lewis Fowler, 61, of Daytona Beach, FL. Mr. Fowler passed away on Monday, June 21 at his residence due to a sudden illness. He is preceded in death by parents, Lewis Vernon Fowler and Isabelle Hulsey Shaw. His brother, Glenn Fowler and his grandparents, Ida Mae and Herschel Hulsey, Aunt Florence and uncle Gibb, all of Gainesville, GA.

Mr. Fowler is survived by his daughter Kimberly Sheay Southwick and son in law Jason Leonard Southwick of Gainesville, Ga. niece Mandy Fowler Barnes and family of Braselton. Step father Joe Shaw of North Carolina. Uncle Grady Fowler and wife Helen of Gainesville, Ga. Uncle Hoyt Fowler of Gainesville, Ga. Aunt Sarah Stancil of Mabelton, Cousin Brenda Lee and family along with several other cousins and their families.

Mr. Fowler grew up in New Holland, graduated from East Hall High School in 1967. He attended Gainesville College. He was an NCO Sgt. in the United States Army, and a disabled Vietnam Veteran. Mr. Fowler was a Hall County Firefighter for many years before moving to Daytona Beach Florida, where he became a master plumber. The family will receive friends on Thursday July 1st 2010 at 10:00 am with a Memorial service following, at 11:00 am in the Memorial Park Chapel. The burial to follow will be held at The Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA at 2:30 pm on July 1st. at 1080 Veterans Cemetery Road, Canton, GA 30114 with full Military Honors.
