George Walter Ammons

Mr. George Walter Ammons, age 79 of Suwanee, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Mr. Ammons graduated from Marion High School in Marion, SC and attended college at Hartnell College in Salinas, CA.

He retired from The United States Army after 23 years, proudly serving his country in The Korean and Vietnam Wars.

He had 13 years service with the Monterey, CA Police Department. He was active with ASPCA and an avid gun collector and fly fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, one brother and several children and grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 25th at 11:00am at St. Columbaâ
