Carrie P. Wallace

Carrie P. Wallace, 87 of Atlanta, passed away Friday June 18, 2010 at Northside Forsyth hospital. Born in Dougherty, GA on October 26, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Minor and Myrtie Whitmire Porter. She retired from JC Penney in 1990 as a credit manager. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.



In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, William T. Wallace, brothers, Rex Porter and Hoyt Porter; son, William T. Wallace, Jr. and daughter, Sandra Siver.



Survivors include her grandsons, and spouse Scott and Timbrel Wallace of Gettysburg, PA, Wes Wallace of Newnan, GA; great grandsons, Nicholas and Grayson Wallace of Gettysburg, PA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Alma Porter of Maysville, Pete and Chris Porter of Chestnut Mountain, Gene and Vickie Porter of Dawsonville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucille Chastain of Gainesville, Ruby and J.D. Harley of Braselton, Barbara and Jeff Ivey of Braselton; sister-in-law, Lavern Porter of Chestnut Mountain and other family members.



Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday June 25, 2010 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Thursday June 24, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00p.m. Interment will be at Marietta National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
