Mary A. Conner Strickland

Mary A. Conner Strickland, age 76 of Gainesville, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, June 7, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Mt. Vernon Baptist Cemetery. Reverend Paul Fillers and Reverend Comer Ledford will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 5, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 pm and Sunday, June 6, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Strickland was born February 7, 1934 in Hall County, Georgia to the late Scott and Ruby Jackson. She was of the Baptist faith and was a great cook. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Sant Conner.

Mrs. Strickland is survived by her husband, Garnett Strickland, of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, William and Bedell Jackson and nephews, Rudy Strickland and Lee Strickland both of Gainesville.
