Billy Lamar Wright

Mr. Billy Lamar Wright of Saint Simons Island, GA, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at age 57 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was beloved by his family and friends. He had a keen insight about life, generous heart, amazing courage and willingness to help others. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son William Ashly Wright; daughter Lani Mason; granddaughters Danielle Reynolds and Tori Beth Mason all of Holly Springs; mother and step father Betty Baker and Dewey Meers of Canton; and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 30, 2010 at 3:00 pm at New Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Purcell and Rev. Dave Holbrook officiating. Entombment will follow in Macedonia Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Saturday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
