Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Cecil Nathan Crumley, age 81 of Cleveland. Mr. Crumley passed away Wednesday. May 26, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, May 28, 2010 at Mossy Creek United Methodist Church with the Rev. Nanci Hicks officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Crumley was born on March 1, 1929 to Harvel Crumley and Faye Stancil Crumley. A lifelong resident of White County, Mr. Crumley was a successful dairy farmer and builder, during his career he served on various committees including serving as past president of the White County Farm Bureau, ASCS Board Member ( later to be known as the Soil Conservation Service) and in 2008 was inducted into the White County Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame. He was a longtime member of Mossy Creek United Methodist Church and in addition to his parents Mr. Crumley is preceded in death by his brothers, Lavern and Virgil Crumley and his grandson, Adam Nix
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Howard Crumley, Cleveland; daughters and sons in law, Beth and Dickie Nix, Cleveland; Donna and Mike Fitzpatrick, Cleveland; Janice and Tom Duggins, Cumming; sons and daughters in law, Alan and Ginny Crumley, Gainesville; Greg and Carol Crumley, Cleveland and son, Joe Crumley also of Cleveland

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon and evening from 3 to 5 and 6 to 9 PM
