Kenneth Richard Gunn

Kenneth Richard Gunn, age 76 of Cornelia, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Habersham County Medical Center following an extended illness.

Born in Habersham County, GA on September 09, 1933, he was the son of the late Everett Gunn and Violet Nora Vinson Gunn. Mr. Gunn was a retired mechanic and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, nature and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include wife of 52 years, Juanita Free Gunn of Cornelia; daughter, Wanda Gunn of Cornelia; daughters and sons-in-law, Violet & Ricky Hill of Homer and Linda & Mark Palmer of Cleveland; son, Charles Gunn of Mt. Airy; son and daughter-in-law, Edward & Michelle Gunn of Easley, SC; grandchildren, Misty Gunn of Gainesville, Benjamin Hill of Homer, Jason Hill of Homer, Kendall Greene of Mt. Airy, Aspen Greene of Cleveland, Houston Palmer of Cleveland, Lacie Gunn of Cornelia, Kyle Gunn of Mt. Airy, Kiara Gunn of Mt. Airy, Cheyenne Gunn of Easley, SC and Jay Martin of Easley, SC.

Funeral services are 2:00 pm Thursday, May 27, 2010, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Pastor Tim Beasley and Rev. Ruby Wiley officiating. Interment will follow in Demorest City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 pm on Wednesday. The family is at the residence.
