Grace Margenice Evans Freeman

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Grace Margenice Evans Freeman , age 96, of Hoschton, GA, died May 23, 2010. Mrs. Freeman, born April 22, 1914 in Jackson County, was a daughter of the late Alvin Edgar and Minnie Eunice Boggs Evans.

Grace grew up in Dry Pond, graduated from the Martin Institute, and attended Athens Business College.

She was a homemaker, a member of Hoschton First Baptist Church, Hoschton Woman's Civic Club, Hoschton Rebekah Lodge #98 and the Jackson County Historical Society.

Mrs. Freeman was preceded in death by her sister, Therese Legg of Commerce.

Grace is survived by her husband of 71years, Ralph Freeman, Jr. of Hoschton, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Jo Nan & Bill Warwick of Hoschton and Pat & Bill Hardin of Mount Holly, NC; Grandchildren, Todd Hardin of Dallas, TX, Chuck Furlong of Austin, TX, Steve Hardin of Frisco, TX and Connie Decker of Columbus, NC; eight great-grandchildren; Sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha & Hoyt Voyles and Ruth & Vernon Carter of Jefferson, GA; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 26, 2010 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Thrasher and Rev. Russell Harbin officiating. Interment will follow in Hoschton City Cemetery.
