Jerry Lewis Griffin

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Jerry Lewis Griffin, age 61, of Jefferson, who passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2010. Mr. Griffin was born on August 5, 1948 in Commerce, GA, a son to the late Lewis Richard Griffin and the late Annie Sarah Fulghum Griffin. Mr. Griffin was a member of the Rockwell Masonic Lodge #191 and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Mr. Griffin was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Janice Nell Harkins Griffin, Jefferson, sons and daughters in law, Gerry and Jenny Griffin, Jefferson and Ricky and Angela Griffin, Bogart, sister, Patsy Blalock Griffin, Commerce, 4 Grandchildren, Abbey, Eli, Hailey and Braxton, numerous adopted Children and adopted Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Page, Rev. Herman Brock and Rev. Jeff Bishop officiating. The burial will follow in the Jackson Memorial Park. The visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6-9pm at the funeral home.
